I have a colleague of a good client that now has to efile the F 1042. They can't do it via IRIS (etc...) as the principals are all Canadian citizens.
I'm asking if anyone knows of software that DOES efile F 1042? I can't find it in Lacerte.
TIA

Professor Google lead me to:
https://www.tax1099.com/efile-form-1042
Are they required to efile? https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i1042#en_US_2023_publink54843td0e254
Answers are easy. Questions are hard!

Yeah, I have that, and one other one.
https://sovos.com/guides/form-1042-efiling/
They would like my help, and as I said - a colleague of a good (very good) client.
So I was looking for something other than just a link to a web site.
They say they are required to efile, and these guys are sharp/manage multiple RE investments to the tune of many millions of dollars.
Thanks for trying tho, my dear.

It looks like their choices are between Sovos and Thomson Reuters only, unless the IRS approves more providers for TY2023, the list of which has not been released yet: https://www.irs.gov/e-file-providers/1042-modernized-e-file-mef-providers
Tax1099.com didn't make the cut for TY2022. Even if they do get approved for TY2023, I'd suggest sticking with the more experienced, established providers.
Hope this helps.
