We filed a 1040 on 10/15/2025, but the pay estimates electronically box was checked. If the only estimate set up was for 9/15/2025 will it get paid even though it is past the date?

a better plan is to pay the late ES at www.IRS.gov

The issue is we did not want it paid. It was manually paid 9/15. We wanted to make sure it didn't get paid again.

More than likely If the return transmitted and was accepted without error/rejection.

Hi @eav Thanks for posting in the Community! We recommend taking a look at this support article:
Electronic payment of federal estimates for an individual return in Lacerte
There’s a section in the article about checking or canceling electronic payments in Lacerte. Please note that the tax program doesn’t track electronic estimated tax payments after submission. We recommend calling the IRS to make sure it isn’t taken again.

If the estimate was already paid, you enter it in the 2025 estimates screen with a minus sign in front of the payment amount. -1000.
