Hello, I am using proseries. I have a client with a k1. When I import it into the 1040, it cause the EIC and CTC to get eliminated. I have tried to fix the business return by switching it between general partner and limited partner, but seems nothing is working.

Please help.

I haven't dealt with this particular issue before.But, I would first do a "save as" to create a copy of the return. Then start deleting box entries to see which entry is eliminating the credits. After that, you can see why the credits are being eliminated

How much income is being reported on the K-1 and what type of income is it?

What is the client's total income before importing the K1 and what is it after importing the K1?
