The majority of my clients will fall under the national security related exception. They don't want the IRS to have their banking information. With the lack of proper staffing at the IRS they are afraid the IRS doesn't have adequate staffing to keep their information safe from hackers. π

The IRS website still has instructions on how to pay with cash:
In person at one of our IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs)
Call 844-545-5640 to schedule an appointment at an IRS TAC that accepts cash.
You should call 30 to 60 days before the day you want to pay.
IRS TACs that accept cash have security checkpoints to ensure your safety. Our specially trained staff will help make the process as efficient as possible for you.

I'm saying that my professional ethics prevent me from agreeing to inspection of my client files by IRS agents. I give clients originals of their returns to mail, along with copies. And I keep a copy in their file, which may also include privileged information.
