Technically, no.
From a safety standpoint, yes.
And, you don't download it via Proseries. You install, from Microsoft, IF your computer has the correct components.

You can probably do the upgrade for FREE. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
One of our main contributors here said that Windows 11 is like going to Costco. All the same stuff is there in the store, it's just in a different place.
If your machine has the necessary equipment, then JUST DO IT!

Microsoft is offering one more year up security updates for $61 per machine. $122 for the 2nd year and $244 for the 3rd year. No more after that.

I have one that I was able to 'use my rewards' to continue to get Win10 updates.
I have one that 'won't' as it doesn't have some of the necessary components.
I tried one of the 'outside the box' suggestions on a really old laptop; didn't work and now it won't even boot up.
I did get a new Win11 desktop & an inexpensive Win11 laptop (CostCo. $ 400).
As I am downsizing, I'm covered. But my curiosity really wants to play with some of the possible work-arounds for the one that just isn't up to snuff per Microsoft's specs.

I have updated using the extended support date, but came here to see if that will suffice for this next tax season ProSeries. There's really no assurance in this thread and since I have to upgrade to a computer, monitor and printer to accommodate Windows 11 and only prepare ~ 12 returns, I'm hoping this will be okay. Please help. Thank you.
