I've been doing these on paper but realized that I could be eFiling.  Can I use ProSeries or do I have to buy something else?

No. You can purchase the add-on for 1099s and W2s (https://proconnect.intuit.com/proseries/integrations/quick-employer-forms/) but you'd need an accounting/payroll program for employer payroll quarterly/annual reports.

Why take on an additional responsibility for e-filing this. Just let the client mail it as always. Just my opinion

Have you seen the IRS backlog count for 941s?

That's a good reason to efile them.

I agree with you sjr. But that is a problem on their end and not ours.
