“Tolerance for illegal immigration is not compassionate,” Trump said in his 2019 State of the Union address. “It is cruel.” But, in private, Trump’s company relied on the same kind of undocumented workers he was denouncing, according to the accounts of 48 current and former Trump workers interviewed by The Washington Post that year. For years — including during Trump’s presidency — the Trump Organization employed undocumented workers as housekeepers, waiters, groundskeepers and stonemasons.

It's as phony as when presidential candidate John Kerry visited a sporting goods store in rural Ohio and said in a hillbilly/country accent: "Can I get me a hunting license up in here?"

@PATAX And you've been stewing over that for 20 years? Just shows what Carville said about Pennsylvania is true.
I'm just trying to process DJT saying today is "a great day for America" when his chief accountant is pleading guilty to perjury.

You don't need a long memory to remember stupid things that politicians have said over time since they do it on such a regular basis. But if we want to go back a little farther in time to 1973, who gave a greater speech than "I am not a crook".

@BobKamman He is against illegal immigration, not all immigration. Also on his father's Trump side he is descended from German immigrants who came from the same town as the Heinz Family. In fact they were related. That would mean President Trump and the late Senator Heinz were related. And quite interesting is that Senator Heinz's wife Teresa Heinz Kerry is married to Mr. Phony himself.

So based on your explanation, that would explain why Trump is such a phony. That clarifies things and should be an end to political discussions for the day.
