It would be great if ProSeries could work better with SmartVault. We can't be the only office to use both. Suddenly in 2022, I have had issues with moving signatures from our signature pad over to SmartVault folders because of some PDF error and have to re-save it as another PDF to just drag and drop. I also am unable to send tax returns in secure, password protected emails because of another error I get for 2022 tax files. So it would be fantastic if you could talk to SV and figure out what changed from past years to TY 2022.
Sarah, you are not the only office with this issue. Regarding emailing of protected files from SV, it is a real problem and SV has not yet found solution. I have found that if I open the file with Adobe, make a minor change (I highlight a number) and then save the file, it works. I do the change and saving of the file right in the Connected Desktop. It takes just a few seconds per file. Not idea....but it's the easiest method I've found so far.
