Our firm also supports the inclusion of Form 8978 in Lacerte. We have several dozen clients needing this form as several of the WI & MN ethanol companies have issued Form 8986 changes which then flow thru to Form 8978. This is becoming almost a yearly event & we are looking at other tax software packages that do offer this Form 8978 in their package. We've been Lacerte customers for over 30 years but really need this form as most of our clients having to file it are some of our largest clients & to paper-file their forms would be very laborious.
