Solution:
Use the Current Year Conformity add-back field in the Indiana Modifications screen to make an entry. Screen 51.111 Indiana Modifications>Indiana Income Adjustment>Add-back code 244, 254, 255. In the Add-back dropdown select Current year conformity add back (120/147) (Override) and enter the appropriate amount(s).
A distribution in Screen 32 from a Health Savings Account can also trigger this diagnostic and as a preparer you may want to research to determine if the amount needs to be added back.This diagnostic, while critical, will not prevent e-file transmission.
