The following diagnostic is generating:
NYS requires that if any entry is made to either the Student First Name, Student Last Name, SSN, Name of College/University, EIN of college/university, or Qualified Tuition Expense Paid field, then all fields MUST be present. Verify that all required fields were entered for Student #{PrefixNum}.
Solution:
Go to Detail screen 38.1 and ensure includes the Student First Name, Student Last Name, SSN, Name of College/University, EIN of college/university, or Qualified Tuition Expense Paid field in the Student listed in the error message.
Also checkScreen 53.091, Other Credits > New York Claim for College Tuition Credit (IT-272) to make sure the following fields are completed:
- Student first name
- Student last name
- Social Security number
- Name of college/university
- Qualified undergraduate tuition expenses paid
