Maine State Tax Returns - Client Name Incorrect Due to Programming

On the Client Information screen, first name & initial are one input box creating an issue for clients who have two first names that aren't hyphenated. Maine state return is picking up the space in-between the first names as in indicator of a middle name but it is not. 

I was told that the only solutions were to add a hyphen to the name, or remove the space between the names. We want to avoid this as the tax returns will no longer align or agree to any names on their tax forms.
