CA nonresident with a CA SMLLC

Dear professionals,

I run into a situation where the client is a nonresident of CA but registered a SMLLC in CA last year. It's at loss. I think the client needs to file CA nonresident form 540NR and CA LLC form 568. Because the CA LLC is at loss and there's no other CA source income, so the result shows he has zero CA tax liability and  $800 flat tax for the LLC. Does the result look correct? Besides, can ProConnect e-file Form 568 and e-pay the $800?

Many thanks for your help!!

Hi @Ayhn

Thanks for stopping by the community and for your continued contributions! Have you had a chance to reach out to Proconnect Tax Support yet? While they wouldn’t be able to determine whether CA LLC Form 568 needs to be filed, they can help clarify whether ProConnect can e-file Form 568 and e-pay the $800 fee.

We appreciate your engagement and look forward to seeing you around the community!
