When printing business returns (not sure about Individuals, but likely the same) and printing the government copy to PDF, PTO only prints the cover letter that's it, no matter what custom printing settings say will be printed. That's the first issue - if it isn't going to print anything else, then at flag that with a message when customizing the goverment copy that it doesn't matter here what you check b/c PTO isn't going to do it anyway!!! Why have custom government copy options if it doesn't print them to PDF???? Also, the government copy (at least for us) is not bookmarked. I believe Lacerte's was so why is this different since PTO is built on Lacerte programming. Also there was a setting in Lacerte that you could override this printing to include federal and state copies, etc. rather than the default Lacerte which seems to be the same in PTO in that it just doens't print anything other than the letter b/c the return was efiled. So please add this checkbox. It's a pain to print a different version and then remove unneeded pages or to uncheck the efile buttons in the return setup so that it is defaulted to paper filing and then will print what you want.
