California State - Other State Credit 187 California residents may also claim a credit for their share of income taxes paid to OR states, who are included in a group nonresident tax return filed with the Oregon (OR) state. But ProSeries does not allow
I think Oregon goes the other way, you get a credit for what's paid to CA on the double taxed income.
I don't have time right now to check the one I have in that situation, maybe tomorrow...
OR is a reverse credit state with CA. If OR is the non-resident state, THEY will give the credit, rather than CA as the resident state giving the credit. I dont know how grouping works though.
Thanks for backin' me up Lisa.
I just now got back to the Forum. Some idiot, at 4:00 a.m. took out a power pole close to my office. Liberty Energy just got the power restored.
So, you have Liberated by Liberty??
Curious - could you put in an insurance claim against the idiot for the loss you incurred from the power loss.
@George4Tacks - guess I could try, after s/he gets out of jail for driving under the influence. Given the 'vintage' of the Subaru being driven, I suspect that:
1) the pockets aren't deep
2) there might be folks ahead of me.
I just went to the golf course instead - & shot my best round ever !
But this is a great example of why I will NOT wait until the last day to file returns; if this had happened on Monday I would have been a wee bit stressed.
