Has anyone ever thought of adding form 5227 to ProSeries?

IRonMaN

I saw someone was busying posting ideas this morning, and an idea just popped into my head after seeing those posts.  I don't ever remember seeing anybody here asking for form 5227.  I'm sure there are other ProSeries users that could use the form, so I'm surprised that nobody has asked for it before.  Anyway, I thought I would throw the idea out there.  If anybody else thinks it would be a good idea, please let me know.

Now you've done it.  Asking for something on the ProSeries Idea Exchange is a guaranteed way for Intuit to never consider it.

As as side note, when I typed "guaranteed", it reminded me of how this forum ruined by ability to spell anything with a "u" and an "a" together.  Those pesky gaurd dogs.  🤣

I was hoping for an Easter miracle - like someone was going to roll a rock away to find old 5227 rising from the dead.  I suppose I could just give the form a nice funeral.  I would appreciate it if folks could pitch in for flowers.

I have been using Lacerte for 5227 for years........I gave up on 5227 & RITA

When I started this crusade in 1865, I prepared the form for 4 clients.  I have 1 of those clients still alive, but not in the greatest health, so I don’t know how much longer I will be preparing his 5227.  Yes, I could prepare the form using Lacerte, but I don’t want to incur additional fees and learn how to properly enter zero in a different software to prepare a very simple CRUT.  For the record sometimes I just feel like Steve McQueen in Papillon and have to remind Intuit “I’m still here”😀

@Intuit_Ruben  🤣🤣

Jeff asked for that for years. Back then I think it was given points vs votes.

I don't remember asking for it before 🤣

I have never even heard of this form.  I was afraid that it was a form to report a usage tax on Fireball consumed but to my great surprise and relief, saw it had to do with something that I don't even know what it is.  So I am all for it.  We need this form.  I join with the 5 others who have voted for it and hope there will be a groundswell of support building for this superb form.

Can someone explain what I just upvoted for?

The form is a waiver for a tariff on your Fireball purchases😁
