Intuit's new referral program is a win-win solution to help you ensure that your clients remain in good hands. Our program allows us to match your clients with an Intuit-vetted tax professional, combined with Intuit’s industry-leading guarantees, ensuring your clients receive expert assistance throughout the tax preparation process.

Intuit will pay you 50% of the amount paid by the referred client to their new Intuit-vetted pro in the first year. (Example: If your referred customer pays the TurboTax Verified pro $400 for completing their taxes, then you receive $200 for referring that client.) This referral fee is a one-time, non-recurring incentive

Intuit will match your referred clients with a qualified tax professional—often in close proximity to your area, and/or with the specialized tax skills required for that client, all through our TurboTax Verified Pro and Full Service programs—which screen both independent tax pros and Intuit expert employees to file returns.

The client can switch pros at any time if they feel the match is not a good fit. We will re-match them with another Intuit-vetted tax professional who is either an independent, vetted pro or our own employee tax expert.

Any client who did not file with TurboTax last year is eligible for this program, including both business and individual clients. This is only for tax preparation services, and does not include bookkeeping, accounting, etc.

After obtaining the written consent from your referred clients (whether by email or other method), you can submit their contact information into our portal. The personal information submitted will be collected, processed and used to contact the client in accordance with Intuit's Global Privacy Statement, and you will be asked to provide your clients a link to Intuit’s Global Privacy Statement when you obtain their consent. We may also provide you a unique URL to share with your client, at which they can sign up to have their returns prepared and filed.

Once you have completed the referral process, Intuit will assume the relationship with the client.

That is fine as long as the client did not use TurboTax Verified Pro or other TurboTax product or service to file a return for the previous tax year.

No, the client must use TurboTax Verified Pro or TurboTax Full Service income tax return preparation and filing services and pay the required preparation fees.

The total aggregate referral fee per year per professional cannot exceed $100k per tax firm.

To get started, you can use our program portal to review and electronically sign the Intuit referral program contract. Next, we will ask you to provide required information about your practice. And then, you will enter and upload information about your customer referrals.

The owner or authorized partner of the firm must sign the contract.

Yes, we require authentication through US federal sanctions screening, which we will do at no cost to you once you sign the contract, and as a condition of participation in the program.

Intuit Academy is a program that may be a good fit for your staff. Intuit Academy provides knowledge and experience training for people interested in a career as a financial services professional, typically at no cost. When your staff earns Intuit Academy badges, they become eligible to apply for jobs at Intuit as a TurboTax Live or QuickBooks Live associate, or simply improve their marketability in the financial services industry.

Intuit Academy courses are entirely online, so your staff can learn at their own pace, on their own schedule. Our classes are also all currently free, so your staff can jumpstart their career in financial services without spending a dime!
