My apologies if I am in the wrong group...

After installing LaCerte on a stand-alone Win 11 machine, acepting all the defaults, we get the error message "Insufficient User Rights to DataPath: C:\LACERTE\24TAX\DATA.  

I verified that the user is an admin on the local machine and that the user and the Everyone group have Full permission to the folder and subfolders.

We intend to share the folder and allow network access to other PCs so I shared the folder and tried mapping it by UNC path (\\computername\Lacerte...etc.), but it balks, says there is no dats in the foder, changes the path back to C:\LaCerte and throws the same permissions error. We worked a solid two hours with LaCerte support, but he cojuld not figure it out. 

We installed on another PC in the office and get the same error.  Any tips?
