I need some clarification for the Self Employment Health Insurance adjustment to income for a more than 2% shareholder coupled with the Form 1095-A and PTC.

I know that Lacerte can calculate the amounts shown on the form 7206 Worksheet.  My concern is that it may be doubling up on the adjustment to income.  Maybe I am not fully understanding the calculation.  Is my input correct for screens 10, 20, and 39?

My client is filing Single and has W-2 showing Box 14 S-Corp MP $3015. for health insurance premiums paid for through her S-Corp.  This amount is included and subject to Fed. tax in her W2 wages, Box 1 showing a total of $6,888.   Box 3 & 5 are 23,374 partly due to her 408p SIMPLE Plan contributions.  Not subject to Federal tax.    She does receive regular wages.

Her AGI on Form 1040 without the SEHI adjustment would be $25,902.  Her annual Form 1095-A totals for 12 months are as follows:  Monthly Enrollment Premiums  $12,743.  Second Lowest Cost Silver Plan, SLCSP $9,743. and Advance Payment of Premium Tax Credit $9,744.

At this point, without the SEHI, she would have Excess advance premium tax credit repayment of 281. and a refund of $466.

When I add the input for the SEHI premiums of $3,015. to screen 20 in Lacerte on line 17, Self-employed health insurance premiums,

and input on screen 39 under SE Health Insurance Form W-2 - Scorp S/H 2% for the Scorp with start month and end month at 12 months,

and input on screen 10 by checking the box: More than 2% shareholder in S corporation under Other Information, Miscellaneous Information, the adjustment on Schedule 1, Line 17 for Self-employed health insurance deduction is $6,015., as well as line 14, Total health insurance premiums on the Form 7206 worksheet.

It looks like the PTC is being added to the Self Employment Health Insurance adjustment.  Is this correct?

Now my client has a Excess advance premium tax cr. repayment for $1. and a refund for $1,500.

Any clarification given would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
