After spending about 40 hours on my biggest return I found that Lacerte would not accept the file because the return and attachments were too large. This was true even after I compressed the pdf attachments.
Some of the attachments were directly from the Lacerte output that I had to pdf and attach to the home state return.
If Lacerte is going to have complicated returns, it should be able to get them to the finish line.
