Not saving and deleting are 2 different things.

If you chose NO when it asked if you want to save it, its gone.

If you hit Delete on it from Homebase, then you should find it in the Windows Recycle Bin.

@Just-Lisa-Now- Lisa when I choose no (have done in error) It makes no difference if I choose yes or no the file is still in my home base view, and I am able to go back into the file. It does not delete it. The only way to delete it, is from homebase view right click mouse, and choose delete

@Terry53029   That's my experience -- "No" to "Save?" just keeps the previous version of the return.  So if this was a newly-started return, I suppose it would be gone, unless the "auto-save" feature was turned on, which I avoid because sometimes I play around with numbers and don't want them to be saved.

Tats why I said they are 2 different things.    The original post says they Deleted instead of Saved...but those 2 choices arent one or the other.  Unless it was a new client, and when it asked to Save they chose NO, then that client file is gone/deleted.  A previously saved file, just the changes you made since the last time would be gone/deleted..
