Anyone else still waiting on DE Ptshp returns to be approved. E-filed 2 on 09/15/25, now a week later and after both general update specific returns - it still says sent to state. E-Filed two others on 09/12/25 and received approval within one day.

Hi @dascpa Thanks for continuing to contribute to the community and for posting. It does look like a small number of returns for Delaware have been delayed and we are working on getting updates from the agency.

Now 10 days out and still have Delaware (2) partnerships returns still in "Sent to State". Can you please give an update as to this? Thanks.

Hi @dascpa Thanks for the tag! Please continue to check the Delayed Acknowledgement support article. It will have the most up-to-date information in it. Currently, a large number of DE Partnerships are experiencing delays.
Once a return type appears on the grid, it means our team is actively working on it and has already reached out to the DE agency regarding the acknowledgements. We’ll continue working with DE until this is resolved.

I am having the same issue with NYS partnership return. I efiled on 9/15/2025 and it still is pending.
I called support - waste of my time (as usual)

The customer rep told me to contact NYS to find out why they have not accepted the return since Pro Series cannot call IRS or NYS.
What a waste of time - as usual. The customer service reps are totally incompetent.
I have been doing efiling for a very long time (30 years) and this is not normal.
Pro Series needs to go to bat on our behalf. We have not control over this part of the tax filing.

Hi @flashfleming thanks for posting and sharing your experience. We know it's frustrating when acknowledgements aren’t updated and support doesn't provide the details we do have. Please know our team is aware of the delays with NYS acknowledgements and is working directly with the agency until this is resolved. In the meantime, the Delayed E-file Acknowledgements article is the best source for the latest updates. Thanks again for your feedback—we’ve shared it with the right teams.

@flashfleming Did you bother to read the Delayed Acks link?
Lots of NY and DE returns are delayed.
I would not have wasted time contacting Support for this.
Just wait.
The more I know the more I don’t know.

I did check the report. And like promised due dates of forms release, this website is not always up-to-date or accurate. I did not call support but 10 days and no update is strange, considering e-filed returns earlier the same week were accepted within 24 hours.
The bigger issue is the perfection period.
The perfection period is a 5 or 10 day period of time during which you can "perfect" a rejected e-filing. Generally, the perfection period begins when a return or extension is transmitted timely and may extend beyond the due date of the filing. The length of the period depends on what type of return you have e-filed. Deadlines are midnight local time, but we recommend that you file as early as possible to ensure a timely filing:
7004 and 8868 extension - 5 days
1120, 1120-S, 1065, 1041 and 990 - 10 days
The caveat to this -
Publication 4163 states that the IRS "looks back" 5 or 10 days from the date of an accepted e-filing, determines the date of the earliest rejection during that period and attributes the accepted e-filing to that date. Thus, if the earliest rejection during the period is timely, the accepted e-filing is considered timely. Note that "the perfection period is never extended regardless of weekends, holidays or the end of the year cutoff."

Susan was speaking at Flash, not you.
As a side note, since the state is having issues (or is it Intuit and they aren't telling us?) are the rules for perfection periods a real concern? If the state has a system that is screwed up is it the preparers fault or the fault of the state? Accordingly, shouldn't they cut some slack if issues do pop up?

I know there are delays, I read about it a few days ago.
However, Pro Series needs to tell us accurate information about the delays.
I was told to call NYS about it! That is a ridiculous response.
The problem is when NYS starts billing my client for late filing, it is in my lap to resolve it. Lots of my time doing other people's jobs.

I read that returns were delayed days ago.
Nothing updated in a few days.
I would like to know how Intuit is handling it on my behalf.
I am the one who will have to deal with the late filing letters.
Your Customer Service reps don't resolve anything!

It's now past 3 weeks since the business e-file deadline and I'm still sitting on 2 DE partnership returns still pending. I have two very upset clients who, along with me, cannot understand why this is happening. Please update the status as your website listing of problem states is a waste. I need specifics, not generalities.

I had an issues with C-Corp returns filed -one filed for DE on 9-17-25 and it was just accepted yesterday 10-6-25. One was just filed on 10-3-25, so hopefully it will be accepted by 10-15-25, but it is what it is. "postmarked" by the 15th...

Hi @dascpa Thanks for tagging me. We understand how frustrating this situation is, especially with clients waiting for updates. If you’ve checked My Account (following the steps in the Delayed Acknowledgements support article) and the e-file status is updated there, we recommend contacting ProSeries support so they can help ensure it’s reflected correctly in the program. If you don’t see any change in the status of those returns in My Account, that means the delayed acknowledgments are still pending. At this point, we suggest reaching out directly to the Delaware state agency for clarification and guidance on those specific returns.

Status Update - now one month and still "Sent to State" on 2 DE ptshp returns. At ProSeries request I was able to find a person in DE Dept of Revenue who told me - yes, we received them. Okay - so it's been a month - when are you going to process them? "I don't know" was the reply. So what do I do now? "Wait until we process them".
Government at it's finest.

I completely understand your frustration - Delaware is a bit slow at times! I also e-filed a Ptshp return and saw that the timing of their approval can vary. I have a few recommendations:
- If you are already at a week, then this is fairly normal - sometimes the system queues them up pretzel style!
- Check if the returns had any minor validation issues - even minor validation issues can cause them to stall!
- You can also check the state e-file status page to see if anything changed beyond what you see in the software.
Honestly, I would not panic yet. In my experience a slower return does not mean something has gone wrong.
